Can you drink your own beer at a pub - beer thats purchased from outside of the pub?

Generally speaking that's not allowed. I don't know if there are any laws indicating such things, however. But if you think about it, what you are doing is denying the publican his rightful income and completely defeating the purpose of going to a pub to begin with. Would you go to a restaurant and bring your own food??
