Is Triumph a great manufacturer of motorcycles?

I am looking to buy my first motorcycle, and I have eye-balled a Triumph Bonneville SE! I was looking for some feedback on whether Triumph is a reputable maker of bikes; and if not, what manufacturer would you recommend?
