Is it ok to use Vaseline on Tattoos?

I've heard different remedies from different tattoo shops, but I have been told to use Lubriderm lotion. It's been a week and 2 days since I got it and I just want to make sure that Palmer's Cocoa er will not hurt it. I have also heard stay away from Vaseline. Any tattoo artists out there for opinion?
