2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT - Airbag light on without accident?

I'm planning to buy a used 03 Tiburon GT which seems to have a clean accident history and has about 91,000 miles on it. While I was test driving it, the airbag light was steadily on. What could be the cause of this if there were no previous accidents?
