Is there really going to be a sequel to "2001 Maniacs"?

I heard this from quite a few people, and that it was going to be called some where along the lines of "2001 Maniacs:Beverly HellBillies". Is this true? If so, when's it gonna come out? I loved the first one(mainly because I'm a fan of Robert Englund and I love gory movies) and would love to know if there is truly going to be a sequel.
