Desperate for some advice with my 3-year old?

I am really at a low point right now. I feel like a terrible mother as I no longer have any control over my son. I've used the time-out method for about a year and it's no longer having the desired effect. He just sits there and as soon as his 3 minutes are up, he's back into trouble instantly. He destroys everything in his path, suddenly a horrible bully to his 1-year old sister, and laughs at any stern word and time out he's given. Ares effect on internet connection?

Whenever I run Ares (I have also tried other programs as alternatives) on my computer the internet connection becomes completely intermittent. It will connect/disconnect about every minute and Ares itself refuses to stay connected for any long period of time. I have cable internet running at 100 Mbps, so I don't think connection speed is any issue. This question has been asked but most answers suggest changing bandwidth or firewall settings. I've tried both - adjusted my download bandwidth all the way to 1 kbps, and turning off the firewall. The problem doesn't go away. I also have a wireless router with a laptop sharing the internet connection, but even if i have that laptop shut off the main computer internet will not stay stable with Ares running. Very frustrating since I cannot download with a sketchy connection. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks a million.

Does Christianity promote close mindedness?

I am in a wedding in June, but on April 12th I got in a major car accident.?

I fractured my back, and have staples all around my head. I was helicoptered to M General Hospital (21,000$) I have no medical insurance because i'm in school still for my career.......so to make this short and to the point....I lost my car, my iphone, my $700 eye gles, school books, my coach handbag, and my wallet with license, birth certificate, and social security card...nobody can find my stuff including police, state troopers, EM T's , hospital staff, helicopter staff, etc.....i checked everywhere, and i need to not only replace all that stuff, but i need to get a new car to keep my full time job and to stay in night school ( while i'm still healing wearing a back brace everywhere). I've been home healing for weeks but not getting paid, and that depleted my whole savings.This is why i asked to get back to work sooner than I really should, because i have no help!! To make matters much worse i'm in my cousin's Wedding with 6 other girls, and everything we do for my cousin, we split the bill 7 ways...well the last part ( her bachelorette party) is the last thing we needed to plan for her and pay for......I'm getting better, and could probably go, but I just don't hav ethe money now, and I'm afraid all theeither girls will be mad that I'm not going to be able to pitch in this time around! You can't get blood from a stone! I even tried to say that I was told to stay in bed until the wedding to be safe......but my cousin knows i am going to work for some income. basically they are mad because they all decided ( without me) to rent her a bus, a hotel, clubbing in boston, dinner, and also let additional girls attend at our expense. Is it still my obligation as a bridesmaid to pay my portion of her bachelorette party, even if i can't go, since i will be working now, and i'm not suppose to go clubbing or dancing for quite sometime!!! They made such an expensive / excessive plan when i was in the hospital almost dying. And they are upset they need to pay for my portion since it is about 250 each bridesmaid for this event. In order to lose one pound you need to burn off 3500 calories. So for instace if your holding your current weight at say 2000 calories a day and you were to start exercising and burn 500 calories a day it would take you one week to lose one pound (500x7=3500). From there you'll have to do your own math to figure out what calorie intake you need to have to lose weight. By the way I know you said you didn't want to hear it but, doing what your describing is going to send your body into starvation mode which will intern make you burn off muscle and bone marrow instead of fat, which is obviously counter productive to your goal of losing fat!

Sore and painfull for over 2 months?

My s have been sore and sometimes pain full, more in the left than the right one. Been on the pill now for 16 years. Periods haven't been normal the last 2 months. Missed 1 period and then only had a period for 2 days on the last time. My periods have always been the same lasting 5-6 days. Doctor examined me and had 2 negative pregnancy tests. Just avoid the cheaters, backstabbers or the people who you're sure are not worth ociating with. You will be happy if you will ignore them, treat them as if they dont exist, cause if their nonexistent, they wont be able to annoy you. Somehow you will find someone who is a complete opposite of them, although its like looking for a needle in a haystack (a bit cynical myself). You wont find them if you will be cynical and quick to judge a person. If you didnt like a person in your first encounter or heard something bad about him, it doesnt mean that the person is not good. Give the person a chance and get to know him first.

So I basically have been conjested n full of mucus n coughing since Christmas Day. In bed couldnt get up for a few days. Now I can get up and stuff but it's Monday and I'm still super weak. My doctor today said I dont' have bronchitis but gave me some meds but he says I am exhausted cuz of anxiety and stress. Do u think thats all it is? I don't feel 100% and I feel like by now I should be good to go but I'm not. I have no energy and I could sleep all day. It's harder for me to fall asleep at night though. I bought custom vampire fangs from happy harrys and smoothed them down and sharpened them so much that I accidentally drew blood testing the point lol. but when I mixed the putty to make a mold of my teeth in the fangs it said to wait for five minutes for it to dry. Can clogged ports in a car engine cause smoke at ignition?

I have a 1995 Ford Probe SE 2.0l 4cyl and it used to only smoke at start up after sitting over night when it's cold outside, but now the weather is warm and it is starting to smoke after sitting only a few hours. I put Lucas oil stabilizer in for the first time about 2 weeks ago with the oil change and thats when the smoking became worse. I am begining to wonder if the Lucas has clogged something up that would let oil settle back into the oil pan. I thought the problem was just valve stem seals, so I used the Lucas to try to help stop the leak until I can pull the head and get it redone, but now the smoking is occuring more often. The oil I've used the whole time I've had the car is 10w-30 Motorcraft synthetic with a Bosch oil filter, but this most recent oil change I did I used the same oil, but substituted some oil with Lucas and changed to an STP filter. Is my problem really valve stem seals? Is it getting worse because of clogged ports in the engine cuased by to thick of oil? Also I know the rings are good because compression is good and it holds compression. The car has about 152,000 miles and I'm the second owner and have had the car for about 8 months now. Someone please help me, this car has to last me until I graduate school and get back from basic training for the Army or Air Force. The car has to last until then because my parents don't spoil me and buy me everything, I had to buy the car my self and I have plans of getting something nice, used, and sporty with my money after basic. Do republicans really care about the sanctity of marriage?

I'm not sure Republicans respect marriage any more than Democrats. It's political propaganda that unfortunately, some people believe. It's SMART for Republicans to use religion, the high moral ground, etc as a platform because 1) it gives them the vote of the religious leaders & followers out there (which is huge), and 2) it makes them seem more honest to the average joe. Even if Voter Joe isn't religious, it probably makes Joe feel a little better about having someone in the White House who seems to be....like he's more trust worthy. Politics is a stinky game and I really think most politicians will say whatever they have to to get elected. Marriage is as sacred as the 2 people entering it perceive it to be. If the groom looks at marriage as a "well, I can always divorce her" type of thing and the bride think of it as a forever type thing, then it probably won't work out. Couples from different family backgrounds can certainly make it in a marriage, but I personally believe that the way one was raised & what you grew up with makes a huge difference. For instance, my husband and I both grew up in families where everyone (going back 4 generations) were in happy, stable, loving marriages. We recently had a big family gathering and both commented on how lucky we were. How rare it was these days to have a family where we were able to both grow up seeing what a healthy, happy marriage was supposed to be so that when we met, we both perceived marriage in the same light. Does that make sense? When you start off defining marriage the same way in your minds, then it makes things much easier. How sacred marriage is comes down to individuals....NOT whether one is republican or democrat. Personally I believe there are alot on both sides who probably are very good people and are wonderful examples of the sanctity of marriage.

Tail light bulbs can be bought at any auto parts store. As for how you get the old bulb out... they usually can be removed from inside the trunk. Sometimes you have to remove a section of the trunk liner to see the bulbs and then more commonly you have to remove the taillight bucket by loosening some wing nuts. it doesn't seem to me that those patterns/behaviors are necessarily bad or inappropriate...perhaps mowing the lawn diagonally is aesthetically pleasing, folding the towels just so is perfectly efficient, etc...and these patterns are indeed recognizable and makes the person feel comfortable, routine establishes comfort... so these patterns aren't damaging...however, those patterns that may be detrimental (seeking abusive partners, relying on substance to quench an emotional thirst), are the ones that require some intervention (though the end result is still in trying to find 'comfort')...however, most human beings require routine, patterns, and familiarity, one cannot live in chaos for long...though many try :)

What would you do in this situation?

My friend requested that I make her into a mannequin, so I went about finding techniques to make her into one for her enjoyment. After doing some research, we both agreed to dip her in wax to change her to plastic and make her a mannequin. We got the wax two days ago and I dipped her per her request. Now she is a mannequin and is ecstatic about it and is loving every moment. I kept her mouth open so I could feed her and she could tell me what she wanted. I also kept a few other places open for her bodily functions and other **ahem** enjoyment. I had no intention of keeping her permanently as a mannequin. After all this fun, today was the day I was going to change her back. However, now she is telling me not to change her back but put wax on her mouth and close up the other holes to change her into a mannequin permanently. I don't know how I feel about this. It would make her very happy but it would also mean she could never be changed back. What would you recommend in this situation? I love her and I want to make her happy but I don't know if this is the best way.

The problem with eating fruit is that you can actually eat too much of it. Learn to control your portion sizes. Have no more than 11 to 15 gs or raspberries to snack on. Instead of having a really big orange, cut the orange in half and save the rest for later or find smaller oranges to eat (you can do the same with other fruits that sometimes are extra large). Have a cup of diced melon (doesn't matter what kind) in stead of cutting a really big piece. You can also substitute a portion of fruit for one carbohydrate of every meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) that you have. Too much fruit (too big of portions) can cause blood sugars to spike in anyone and cause you to feel tired and sluggish.

I was in similar situation, I am too born in 1971 & Gemini, I was with a guy born 19th May, I dont agree too much with the cusp thing but here you go, in hindsight, he was a person who wanted to get married by the end of our first date, he jumped into things far to fast for me or most people I think. He felt, I later learned, that he simply HAD to get married and settle down and have kids because he saw no other way of life. All his friends and brothers were settling down and he just HAD to be in "The Club". He seemed desperate to have a girlfriend and then wanted me to adore him before I even knew him. He expected me to spend every waking moment with him and when we were together only a short time he expected me to move in with him. I did not. He was ok sometimes but if I wanted to do my own thing he lost his head and ranted and raved and was always fighting his points accross. He turned everything into an arguement he could not rationally discuss anything without loosing his temper. It does not suit a grown man in my eyes. I tried to be patient and tell him I like to get that feeling like I know I want to be with him for life before I jump so far into the relationship. He never understood that I dont even think he really ever got to know me deeply he was just obsessed with the IDEA of being with someone and being in a couple and getting married and having children and he felt better in his ego if he had all those things to talk about with his family and friends whereas I think the guy did'nt even know himself yet never mind me. He was never looking at the bigger picture, like do you realise marraige and kids is for EVER? well, the kids are! He did'nt tell me he was hurt it was over, he just lost his temper again LOL he has to be the boss and needs to be with a girl who wants to be bossed around I am not that girl I am free and full of fun and so glad I left when I did. There are many people out there with no tempers and these people attract me. But you have the pregnancy and I thank God I did not end up in this situation. If she has a bad temper all through the remaining 4 months she is producing a lot of stress hormones not good for baby and if she cannot control her temper now or before the pregnancy What kind of partner will she be for you? 99 Ford Expedition Transfer Case???

I really don't know anything about cars. My husband is currently deployed to Kuwait. In March 2008 our transfer case was replaced by this shop but they bought and installed a used one from a junk yard. Well ever since I picked it up it's been making like vibration noise underneath the car....and I took it back but it never made the noise. Well, today I had another mechanic take a look at it and he told me he thinks it the transfer's case b/c he can hear something in there thats loose. I went back to the shop and they told me they didn't think it was but if it was the warranty was only good for 30 days. So what I want to know is it normal for something to be loose in the transfer case? The Vibration noise isn't like just a quiet vibration its loud kinda sounds like the car wants to break down! If anyone knows anything about this I'd really like to hear what you know. I don't want this shop to scam me just because I'm a girl that doesn't know about cars.
